The Modern Kitchen

Building and updating a modern kitchen is no cheap task. Maybe that should be common knowledge, but when we started building, I almost croaked at the estimated cost of the kitchen. In fact, I know a woman who opted to remodel her kitchen rather than buy a new house -- and it cost her almost as much as a new home!

Everything from backsplashes to appliances to cabinets to hardware can be unbelievably expensive. In fact, in our 600 square foot loft apartment, the kitchen is approximately 65 square feet. That’s tiny. But it is still costing a pretty penny.

I have drawn up plans and searched for the best prices on everything, and I’ve gotten the overall cost down significantly – by thousands of dollars. Not everyone, however, has the time to constantly search for bargains, so I’ve posted some of the best deals and tips I’ve found.

For more information on remodeling and updating a kitchen, I would recommend Kitchen Remodeling Help which details how to save up to $10,000 by using Ikea cabinets. Modern Kitchen Remodeling Help
